Role Overview

The AutoCAD Detailer role reports to the Director of ABS Project Management and demands proficiency in AutoCAD with operational insight. The position mainly involves designing tensile membrane structures including structural steel assemblies and membrane patterning, preparing detailed drawings for client approval and production. A customer-friendly demeanor and willingness to work overtime are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new structural design concepts.
• Create fundamental 3D models of structures using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate closely with production, project management, and sales teams.
• Maintain and update standardized details and drawing libraries.
• Produce custom drawings for complex projects as required.
• Coordinate with operations, sales, and project managers to finalize project plans.
• Verify accuracy of all drawings before submission, including numbering, sizing, and information blocks.
• Maintain meticulous accuracy in all work.
• Work alongside the internal applications team to support their requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• At least three years of experience using AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong command of grammar, mathematics, and spelling.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and independently interpret construction drawings and instructions.
• Exceptional time management capabilities.
