Business Development Associate

Overview

Xalp Global Markets is seeking a Junior Business Development Associate based in Nairobi. This role is office-based and reports directly to the Head of Sales. No prior industry experience is required as full training will be provided. The primary responsibility is to initiate contact and establish relationships with potential Introducing Brokers (IBs), affiliates, and educators to generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate outreach to prospective IBs, affiliates, and educators through LinkedIn, email, and other messaging channels.
• Utilize provided prospecting tools and contact databases effectively, with comprehensive training supplied.
• Assess leads based on a pre-defined qualification checklist to identify viable business opportunities and schedule meetings accordingly.
• Maintain up-to-date and precise records of the sales pipeline and follow-up activities in the customer relationship management system (CRM).
• Achieve weekly performance goals related to outreach volume, engagement rates, and meetings arranged.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills with the confidence to approach and engage unfamiliar contacts.
• Persistence, organizational skills, and a results-oriented mindset.
• Proficient written English communication.
• An interest in finance or foreign exchange markets is advantageous but not mandatory.
• No previous professional experience is needed.
