Business Analyst

Role Overview

This business analyst position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis, focused on contributing to major transformation projects involving property title systems in New South Wales. The role involves taking business requirements from initial discovery through to delivery by collaborating in an agile environment and bridging the gap between business needs and development outputs.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and validate detailed business requirements and acceptance criteria across several ongoing transformation initiatives.
• Create agile user stories and assist Product Owners in backlog refinement and scoping requirements effectively.
• Design process maps and documentation, actively participate in design walkthroughs, and collaborate in implementation sessions.
• Maintain alignment of test coverage with established business rules and requirements throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years experience as a Business Analyst or in a related technical role with a proven record of producing high-quality requirements.
• At least two years hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases, demonstrating strong data analytical capabilities.
• Sound knowledge of agile methodologies and experience with full software development lifecycle engagements.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or AWS platforms is highly desirable and considered an advantage.

Compensation and Contract Details

This contract position offers an annual salary ranging from $135,000 to $155,000 plus superannuation. Candidates will work onsite in Sydney and collaborate directly with the Head of Applications, engaging with multiple concurrent projects and teams.
