Business Analyst - Data Quality & Technical Analysis

Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Data Quality Specialist to spearhead Data Quality Governance within key data and analytics projects. This position requires a combination of adept business analysis skills and data knowledge to assure that data remains accurate, reliable, and suitable for business applications.

The chosen candidate will serve as a vital connector between business units and technical teams, overseeing the establishment and enforcement of Data Quality Governance Framework. Responsibilities include defining data quality requirements and guaranteeing that stringent data quality controls are implemented and maintained effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the deployment and acceptance of the Data Quality Governance Framework.
• Establish and uphold data quality rules, controls, standards, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp data quality expectations and related business needs.
• Execute data profiling, analysis, validation, and identify root causes of data anomalies.
• Detect, monitor, and resolve issues related to data quality.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for data quality and reporting mechanisms.
• Work alongside delivery teams to assure proper integration of business logics and data quality mandates.
• Assist with System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate data accuracy in production environments.
• Foster awareness and governance of data quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

• Background in Data Quality, Data Governance, Business Analysis or Analytics.
• Proven ability to engage and facilitate interaction with stakeholders.
• Capability to transform business requirements into data quality and data-related criteria.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced in diagnosing data problems and conducting thorough root cause analyses.
• Adept in collaborating effectively with both business and technical personnel.
• Excellent communication and documentation expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency using SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Understanding of data integration processes, ETL/ELT workflows, and data pipeline structures.
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Knowledge of data governance principles, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
