About The Role

Kinetic is embarking on a multiyear initiative titled 'Our Tools' to revamp its foundational systems across Australia and New Zealand. This comprehensive program will affect all levels of the organization, including executives, frontline teams, and drivers, enhancing how the company manages finance, procurement, personnel, payroll, legal matters, vehicle maintenance, service delivery, and safety.

The Business Analyst will play a key role in analyzing current business operations, pinpointing improvement opportunities, and developing streamlined solutions to boost efficiency and effectiveness. This position requires robust analytical capabilities, stellar communication, and collaborative skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. A focus area for this role is the Data & AI strategic uplift project, a critical component of Kinetic's business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside project leaders, IT, and procurement teams to ensure business needs align with technology solutions.
  • Gather and document detailed business requirements, then convert them into functional specifications.
  • Engage stakeholders to understand their requirements and devise appropriate solutions.
  • Create and upkeep comprehensive project documents such as process maps, artefacts, and user stories.
  • Lead meetings and workshops to collect requirements and share insights.
  • Support the design and rollout of new business workflows and systems.
  • Track and assess the impact of deployed solutions, recommending refinements as needed.
  • Document business advantages linked to project scopes and requirements.
  • Detect and record risks, issues, and potential benefits related to proposed fixes.
  • Perform gap analyses and impact reviews when necessary.
  • Assist in testing solutions across various program initiatives.
  • Develop business process maps to support both major projects and routine service delivery improvements.
  • Keep project items current in tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of AI principles, including generative AI, large language models, AI agents, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience in prioritizing AI and data use cases by evaluating business value, feasibility, data readiness, and associated risks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data governance, quality assurance, ownership, privacy, and security requirements.
  • Ability to translate complex AI and data-related topics into clear business documentation such as requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Proven history of collaboration with data architects, engineers, developers, cybersecurity experts, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience specifying reporting and analytics needs, including defining KPIs and constructing dashboards with Power BI.
  • Strong analytical aptitude to develop and deliver business process maps supporting various initiatives.
  • Background in navigating complex, multi-vendor environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an approachable presence.
  • Track record of identifying process improvements and leading organizational change.
  • Self-driven with a positive, adaptable approach to evolving workplace conditions.
