Job Purpose

The General Manager will hold comprehensive responsibility for all operations within a Buddy's unit, aiming to optimize customer satisfaction and profitability. This role requires maintaining high standards of service throughout daily activities and engaging in effective communication with management and team members to drive progress and achieve set goals. The manager will be expected to work at least 5 days a week totaling 50 hours or more.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of unit operations during scheduled shifts, including daily decisions, staff training, guest interaction, scheduling, and upholding product quality and cleanliness standards.
• Manage labor and monitor breaks, ensuring proper checkout and cash handling procedures are followed.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to prepare staff.
• Provide ongoing guidance to staff to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to procedures.
• Complete managerial accounting reports as required and analyze sales and labor data.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement plans to enhance department functions and store objectives.
• Verify the accuracy of line checks across all shifts.
• Build strong working relationships with staff to boost morale, productivity, and professional growth.
• Maintain a safe working environment to minimize risk of accidents and injuries.
• Oversee delivery processes to confirm receipt of correct products and accurate billing.
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, concerns, and approving discounts, promotions, comps, and credits.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling staff members.
• Ensure effective communication through tools such as pre-shift meetings, documentation, evaluations, and record-keeping.
• Conduct employee performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Enforce adherence to uniform policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a general manager within a full-service restaurant environment.
• Strong skills in leadership, communication, staff development, and operational quality management.
• Effective communication abilities across all staff levels, strong problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Knowledge of employment law and ability to handle confidential information.
• Exceptional customer service and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
