Role and Responsibilities
As a Beach Guru at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, you will be entrusted with overseeing all activities related to the beach and recreational areas, ensuring timely and efficient completion. Key duties include adhering to all Recreation Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and task lists, meticulously cleaning and organizing the recreation areas and associated back offices on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule as directed by the Recreation Supervisor or Assistant Recreation Manager. You will manage the proper cleaning, storage, and security of all recreational equipment, handle towel logistics with the laundry to maintain sufficient stock, and deliver excellent, courteous customer service at all times while maintaining a professional demeanor both on and off duty.
Additional tasks involve setting up workstations with required supplies, maintaining cleanliness throughout shifts, being fully knowledgeable about all recreation activities and services, providing amenities to club and hotel guests as per SOPs, ensuring availability of all guest amenities, and taking part in various hotel projects and cross-departmental collaboration. Proper adherence to accounting protocols when managing recreation fees, readiness to take on other duties as assigned, and supporting revenue generation for the Recreation Department are also crucial aspects of the role.
