ATM Custodian

Overview

IZI South Africa PTY Ltd, a foremost integrated cash management solutions provider, is looking for a reliable and detail-focused ATM Custodian to join their team in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. This role demands a high level of accuracy with cash handling, excellent organisational skills, strong numeric ability, and dedication to maintaining security standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ATMs are regularly replenished with cash and necessary stationery materials.
• Maintain effective communication with the control centre to swiftly address and resolve any equipment malfunctions.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential faults that could disrupt ATM functionality.
• Manage ATM cash custody strictly following set procedures and ensure ATM containers are securely sealed.
• Perform cash balancing accurately at designated intervals including during cash top-ups.
• Confirm compliance with procedures and precise entry of transactional data into the ATM system.
• Obtain and retain documentation for every cash replenishment conducted.
• Promptly report any disruption of services or changes in operating status.
• Handle cash deposits and purge bins meticulously and quickly, flagging suspicious deposits to the Branch Security Officer without delay.
• Ensure deposits are delivered on time to the bank or G4S Cash Centre.
• Process ATM reports and reconciliation duties on time and according to prescribed guidelines.
• Maintain control over ATM slips and submit these to the cash centre consistently.
• Ensure daily reconciliation of ATM cash follows company standards.
• Adhere to Firearm and Ammunition Control protocols, including annual firearm training and maintenance of firearms in operational condition.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and enforcement of workplace health and safety through participation in planning, forums and compliance with policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completed Matriculation certificate with Mathematics.
• At least two years of experience in operating and maintaining ATM machines.
• Certification in ATM Custodian course and a Certificate of Competence.
• Computer literate with proficiency necessary for the role.
• Previous experience as a bank teller is beneficial but not mandatory.
