Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Business Support, the Associate Director will hold primary and secondary accountability for critical business-as-usual processes, including Data Governance, Artwork Management, Serialisation, Brand Protection, and New Product Introduction. This position leads and supports global supply chain business improvement programs within defined timeframes and collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives, strategy, and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure uninterrupted supply for patients and customers by managing operational performance within assigned areas.
- Contribute to defining and achieving functional objectives and strategic development as an integral part of the Global Supply Chain Business Support team.
- Lead or assist various initiatives involving process, system, capability, and cost enhancements to successful completion.
- Maintain and develop personal and professional skills, while mentoring colleagues through business change and improvement activities.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and sustain global supply chain communities that foster best practices, knowledge sharing, efficiency, and capability growth.
- Provide insight, guidance, and support across the global supply chain function to facilitate goal attainment.
- Build and nurture collaborative relationships with management, manufacturing, commercial, quality, finance, regulatory, IS, customers, partners, service providers, and other external parties.
- Engage actively in individual, team, and departmental meetings, including business-as-usual and project performance reviews.
Professional Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience and solid understanding of global pharmaceutical supply chains and the regulatory landscape, acquired through multiple years across several companies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.
- Strong customer and stakeholder insight and orientation.
- Proven success in leading global supply chain improvement projects delivered on schedule, within scope, and on budget via cross-functional teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and management to maintain or establish collaborative working relationships.
- Effective use of analytical skills, experience, and judgment for informed business decisions that enhance performance and strategy fulfillment.
- Capability to clearly and succinctly report on achievements and performance within assigned responsibilities.
Educational Requirements
- Primary degree in Science, Business, or Engineering disciplines.
- Advanced degree in Science, Business, or Engineering is preferred.
