Role Overview

In your role as Strategic Purchaser at Redcare (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal part in shaping the pharmaceutical procurement strategy for the German RX market. You will take ownership of key manufacturer relationships, conduct demanding negotiations, and develop sustainable, economically viable partnerships within the highly regulated environment.

You will actively leverage the emerging market dynamics created by the e-prescription to identify, develop, and strategically scale innovative cooperation and business models together with manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic negotiations with RX manufacturers, including generics and potentially parallel imports segments.
• Build, maintain, and enhance long-term supplier partnerships in the German market.
• Drive market, manufacturer, and portfolio developments; facilitate annual and pricing discussions.
• Take full responsibility along the entire value chain—from supplier side through to end customers and supply perspective.
• Develop and implement a structured negotiation and collaboration framework to scale and standardize supplier cooperation.
• Manage contracts, purchasing conditions, and trade agreements while considering complex regulatory requirements.
• Create multi-year RX procurement and partnership strategies in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile

• Completed degree in a commercial field or equivalent commercial training.
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement with proven negotiation expertise, ideally within pharma, FMCG, consumer healthcare, or OTC sectors.
• Ability to master regulated market environments and successfully adapt procurement strategies to new product categories.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and pricing optimization.
• Strong capability to build sustainable partnerships and make strategic, data- and market-driven decisions.
