Assistant Store Manager - Retail

Overview

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Store Manager to oversee sales and daily store operations at our Jayanagar location. This role demands hands-on leadership focused on executing key store functions to uphold standards, maintain inventory accuracy, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Duties

• Drive sales by encouraging walk-ins through on-site promotions and improving conversion rates to hit monthly targets.
• Ensure store preparedness each day by completing readiness checklists and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store and backroom.
• Organize shelves, fixtures, and billing areas, guaranteeing they appear neat and inviting for customers.
• Implement effective visual merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation.
• Manage inventory by replenishing shelf stock from the backroom, monitoring fast-selling and low-stock items, and keeping the stockroom orderly.
• Perform regular stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Receive incoming stock, verifying it against invoices and systems, checking quantities, batch details, expiry dates, and product quality.
• Identify and report damaged or expired products and any discrepancies found.
• Maintain accurate shelf pricing and ensure promotional labels and tags are correctly displayed.
• Conduct routine pricing audits to eliminate errors.
• Provide customer assistance on the floor and support billing during busy periods.
• Address and resolve customer concerns efficiently to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Coordinate morning operations and activities among store staff and enforce adherence to standard operating procedures and checklists.
• Promote a disciplined and customer-centric store atmosphere.
