Job Overview
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join GMS Beverages in Chandigarh, India. This role demands leadership in managing sales operations and channel partners to meet and exceed sales targets across assigned territories.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Design, implement, and monitor territory-specific sales strategies.
- Promote growth in both primary and secondary sales channels.
- Identify, onboard, and oversee distributors, dealers, and other channel partners.
- Ensure consistent product availability and deepen market penetration.
- Lead, develop, inspire, and supervise Sales Officers and PSRs to maximize performance.
- Conduct routine field visits alongside team members to understand market dynamics.
- Track competitors' strategies, pricing, and promotional offers.
- Expand outlet coverage and scout for new business prospects.
- Manage timely collection of payments, enforce credit controls.
- Review stock levels and movements across distributors.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive sales reports and forecasts daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Update and manage records accurately via CRM/SFA systems.
- Adhere to company policies, standard sales procedures, and reporting norms.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, logistics, and accounts teams ensuring seamless business operations.
