About Zof AI and Role Overview

Zof AI is seeking a dedicated AI Product Manager to lead product decisions at the intersection of AI model performance and business value in Accra, Ghana. This position is full-time and onsite, designed for candidates passionate about driving ambitious AI products in an agile, high-performing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the product lifecycle of AI features from concept through to successful launch.
• Manage trade-offs regarding cost, quality, and latency of AI components effectively.
• Define success criteria for AI products based on data-driven evaluations rather than assumptions.
• Translate market and customer insights into a strategic and actionable product roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to decide build versus buy options and API integrations.
• Focus sharply on prioritization within a lean and fast-paced team environment.
• Ensure clear communication of product choices within the team and to external stakeholders.
• Track product usage and impact continuously, refining the approach based on measurable outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience delivering AI or machine learning-powered products.
• In-depth understanding of AI model capacities, limitations, and cost implications.
• Excellent judgment in product management with strong prioritization capabilities.
• Ability to analyze and interpret performance metrics and evaluations thoroughly.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven effectiveness in early-stage startup environments, showing high autonomy and initiative.
• Comfort using AI tools extensively in daily work routines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical literacy to comprehend code and technical documentation.
• Experience in developer tools, quality assurance, or enterprise software solutions.
• Track record of successfully launching early-stage products to market.
• Experience collaborating with enterprise clients directly.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary between GHS 6,000 and 12,000.
• Equity participation in the company.
