Overview

This role, operated through a partner company in Germany, seeks a hands-on AI Enablement Lead specializing in Data Intelligence. The position focuses on fostering and scaling AI capabilities to transform innovative data technology products.

The successful candidate will set strategic directions, design architectures, and create operational processes that empower teams to develop and deploy AI-driven solutions effectively and ethically. Combining technical skills in software engineering and AI infrastructure with organizational leadership, this role aims to accelerate product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and upkeep of internal AI platforms, including orchestration layers, API gateways, and reusable frameworks incorporating advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and autonomous AI systems.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed generative AI and machine learning capabilities into production data platform products.
Establish and maintain LLMOps and MLOps protocols encompassing governance, model evaluation, monitoring, security, and privacy.
Enhance AI infrastructure performance by managing resource costs, token usage, latency, and selecting appropriate technologies from commercial and open-source options.
Lead enablement activities through workshops, documentation, architectural guidance, and knowledge sharing.
Drive rapid prototyping from proof of concept to production ensuring scalable, reliable, and maintainable AI solutions.
Set standards for AI tooling, covering vector databases, embedding tactics, semantic search, and caching methods.
Continuously assess emerging AI models, vendors, and open-source technologies to keep AI strategies up to date.
Define measurable success indicators for AI adoption such as developer efficiency, delivery speed, and business outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

Extensive experience as a Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or Software Architect developing scalable AI applications.
Proven track record in enterprise SaaS, complex data platforms, or large-scale software environments.
Proficiency in Python or Go, semantic search techniques, vector databases like Pinecone, Milvus, or pgvector, and AI orchestration tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
Hands-on experience with large language models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and building dependable AI workflows.
Strong software engineering expertise including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, evaluation datasets, Docker, Kubernetes, and principles of clean architecture.
Designing AI governance frameworks focusing on security, privacy, performance, and ethical AI adoption.
Proactive problem-solving skills to anticipate organizational challenges and develop preemptive solutions.
Exceptional leadership and communication abilities to align cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Fluent English communication skills, capable of articulating complex AI concepts in clear business language.
