Job description
Position Overview
The Acquisition Manager role at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank involves driving new customer acquisition for liability products by tapping the open market. The individual will support customer relationship staff in converting existing borrowers to liability customers and enhance relationships with current customers through targeted cross-selling of banking products and services. The role also emphasizes training customers on alternate banking channels like ATMs and Business Correspondents (BCs) to foster digital adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned targets for liabilities, including current accounts (CA), savings accounts (SA), term deposits (TD), and segment-specific portfolios such as Non-Resident (NR), Senior Citizens, and High Net-worth Individuals (HNI).
- Source prospective customers via leads from branch staff, personal connections, referrals, and alternate channels.
- Maintain comprehensive prospect databases, meet selected clients, and nurture ongoing relationships.
- Collaborate with Customer Relationship Staff (CRS) focused on unsecured loans to convert borrowing clients into liabilities customers.
- Provide quality leads for secured loan products to loan officers.
- Collect and share customer insights and product feedback with the Sales Manager for Liabilities.
- Deliver courteous, professional customer interactions with prompt and accurate service to minimize dormancy and attrition.
- Address customer queries on accounts, fixed and recurring deposits, remittances, and third-party products.
- Facilitate account opening processes ensuring proper documentation, compliance with KYC norms, and obtaining mandatory customer signatures.
- Promote use of alternate banking channels like ATMs and BCs, and assist customers in using such channels.
- Continuously update knowledge about liability and other branch products.
- Resolve questions from CRS-Unsecured Loans on liability products and support their sales efforts.
- Complete required training sessions and participate actively in performance reviews and appraisals within set timelines.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate degree, preferably in commerce or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in sales roles.
- Certifications such as AMFI or IRDA are mandatory.
- Sound understanding of retail banking products and strong documentation capabilities.
- Focus on process compliance and fluency in the local language.
