Role Overview
The Accounting Coordinator plays a critical role in managing financial aspects such as accounts receivable, abandoned property reporting, bank reconciliations, surcharge preparations related to claims processes, and handling various banking transactions. This position requires precise and timely execution of duties, involving collaboration with internal staff, banks, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile FBO (For Benefit Of) bank accounts accurately to maintain financial records.
- Manage invoice processing, deposit checks, and execute wire transfers efficiently.
- Calculate and process manual and automatic surcharges, and ensure payments are posted timely.
- Complete return check batches according to procedures.
- Edit and reformat percentage of savings documentation for accuracy.
- Perform check tracer activities as necessary to track payments.
- Research and consolidate outstanding checks; coordinate and send notification letters; manage voiding and reissuing of checks as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement is a High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- At least two years of relevant work experience in accounting or related fields.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
