Role Overview
Positioned in Dubai, UAE, this full-time onsite Account Assistant role involves supporting core accounting activities. Key duties include invoice processing, ledger maintenance, and assistance with account reconciliations. The role requires managing petty cash transactions, aiding credit control processes, and monitoring both receivables and payables. Additional responsibilities encompass preparing fundamental financial reports, liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders, as well as ensuring all documentation aligns with company policy and compliance standards. Collaboration with the finance team is essential to facilitate smooth and prompt financial operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid foundation in accounting and finance, including general ledger management and basic financial reporting.
- Experience handling credit control responsibilities and managing receivables with diligence in following up on overdue accounts.
- Competency in accurately overseeing petty cash transactions and maintaining organized records.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Proficient user of MS Office applications and accounting software, with keen attention to numerical precision.
- Possession of a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities to juggle multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Familiarity with fundamental financial controls, eagerness to learn sector-specific procedures; prior experience in construction or equipment leasing is advantageous.
