About the Role and Company
Join Downer’s Southeast Queensland Water unit as a Zero Harm Advisor supporting the Logan Water partnership based in Beenleigh. Downer has been the principal contractor for Logan Water for over 15 years, maintaining a longstanding collaboration focused on trust, innovation, and shared values. The partnership ensures the delivery of safe, sustainable, and high-quality water services to the community.
Logan Water leads in deploying innovative technologies, including advanced water treatment and sustainable water management. Key Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and Delivery Partners to cultivate a proactive Zero Harm culture emphasizing health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Enforce Downer’s Zero Harm standards and comply with legislative safety and environmental requirements across all work activities.
- Perform site inspections, audits, and safety observations to uphold rigorous standards.
- Carry out investigations into incidents, injuries, or breaches of safety and environmental protocols.
- Manage all incident reporting processes using Downer and client systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience using Health, Safety & Environment Management Systems.
- Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or Work Health and Safety (WHS).
- Demonstrated background in a Health & Safety Advisor role, ideally within utilities, civil engineering, or construction sectors.
- Possession of a degree in OHS/WHS is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience as an ICAM lead investigator and auditing skills are desirable but not essential.
