Youth Worker #Tanglin Halt

Role Overview

This full-time on-site Youth Worker position is based in Singapore and focuses on supporting students through relationship-building, academic guidance, and socio-emotional care. The role also includes outreach, programme delivery, and ongoing review of student support needs.

Working Hours

• Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with selected students to foster trust, strengthen engagement, and support their overall growth.
• Offer help with schoolwork and/or emotional and social wellbeing, depending on student needs.
• Carry out home visits and arrange transport to school for students who have been absent for more than 3 days without a valid reason.
• Design and facilitate after-school intervention activities and programmes.
• Track, record, and interpret students’ needs and emerging concerns.
• Share observations and programme-related issues with the relevant team to help refine support efforts.
• Review the programme each term and suggest practical improvements.

Requirements

• Applicant must be a registered social worker.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience is required.
