Yardman (Telehandler) - Portishead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Yardman to join our ongoing project in Portishead for a contract lasting 12 months. The position offers the chance to start immediately and play a vital part in site operations.

Working Details

• Location: Portishead, Somerset
• Term: 12 months
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Compensation: £22 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the telehandler safely and efficiently throughout the site.
• Maintain and organise the yard to keep it orderly, clean, and safe.
• Manage loading, unloading, and relocation of materials within designated zones.
• Assist with deliveries and verify incoming materials.
• Support trade teams by providing materials as required.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
• Adhere strictly to all site health and safety protocols.
• Carry out general yard tasks and collaborate with site personnel as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Must possess a valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler certification.
• Proven experience in a Yardman or Telehandler capacity on construction sites.
• Equipped with full personal protective equipment, including hi-visibility apparel.
• Good knowledge and compliance with site health and safety standards.
• Dependable, timely, and able to cooperate within a team environment.
