Yard Operations Technician

Position Overview

We are actively hiring a dedicated and practical Yard Operations Technician to join our team in Karratha, Western Australia. This permanent, full-time role is essential in ensuring the upkeep, repair, and readiness of modular buildings available for hire.

Key Duties

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on rental units such as wall panels, doors, windows, flooring, roofing, and interior fixtures.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload modular units and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect, clean, and prepare modular buildings to guarantee they meet quality standards prior to hire.
• Assist with the scheduling and coordination of deliveries, collections, and internal yard logistics.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with stocktaking activities.
• Manage customer handover processes and address inquiries professionally.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid forklift license and current driver’s license.
• Proven practical skills in maintenance and repair work.
• Experience operating hand and power tools.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications.
• Prior experience in construction, building, or hire yard environments is advantageous.
• Possession of a trade certificate in Carpentry, Cabinet Making, or Joinery is highly desirable.

Compensation & Work Details

• Hourly wage: $49.60 to $53.60, including allowances, plus 12% superannuation.
• Work schedule: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
