About the Role
As the Workshop Supervisor at Al Safi Danone located in Al Kharj Farm, you will lead and manage all workshop maintenance operations for both heavy and light equipment within the farm. Your primary goal is to ensure that preventive and corrective maintenance programs are effectively executed to boost equipment reliability, availability, and operational efficiency, while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of maintenance schedules covering both preventive and corrective activities for various heavy and light machinery.
- Manage spare parts requirements, maintaining effective inventory control to support maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance jobs to align with operational demands and reduce equipment downtime.
- Supervise all workshop maintenance efforts, delegating tasks and offering technical assistance to technicians.
- Ensure that diesel engines, heavy machinery, and associated equipment comply with the company's maintenance standards.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and provide practical support for complex repair tasks.
- Train workshop staff to enhance their technical proficiency and capabilities.
- Detect equipment malfunctions and devise corrective and preventive measures accordingly.
- Monitor maintenance quality, adherence to procedures, and progress tracking.
- Efficiently allocate manpower, tools, and workshop resources.
- Keep precise maintenance documentation and assist with performance reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing workshop productivity, equipment reliability, and safety.
- Support programs designed to optimize maintenance workflow and service quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field, preferably with a focus on heavy equipment.
- Between 5 to 8 years of experience in maintaining heavy and light equipment, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Comprehensive understanding of both preventive and corrective maintenance processes, including scheduling and planning.
- Experience overseeing workshop operations and managing maintenance personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, heavy equipment systems, and workshop maintenance protocols.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to compile and maintain detailed reports and documentation.
- Fluency in English is required.
