Position Overview

The organization is currently recruiting a detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator skilled in structural welding per AWS D1.1 standards, particularly experienced in the 3G (Vertical) welding position. Responsibilities include welding, cutting, and fabricating metal parts while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Use MIG welding techniques to weld and fabricate components following project requirements and industry standards.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to build and assemble parts accurately.
• Perform welding tasks specifically in the 3G vertical position, ensuring compliance with AWS D1.1 code.
• Inspect and service welding equipment to maintain safety and functionality.
• Cut, measure, and shape metal materials using tools like grinders, torches, and saws.
• Conduct thorough quality checks to guarantee weld integrity and appearance.
• Follow safety measures, including wearing PPE and adhering to OSHA regulations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals within deadlines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Certification in AWS D1.1 and proficiency in 3G (Vertical) welding position required.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years in welding and metal fabrication trades.
• Strong ability to read and comprehend blueprints and welding symbols accurately.
• Knowledge of working with various metals, especially steel.
• Experience operating fabrication tools and measuring devices.
• Attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality welds.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and cooperatively.
• Physical capacity to lift materials up to 75 pounds and endure standing for long periods in varied environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotic welding equipment is advantageous.
• Additional certifications such as OSHA 10/30 and forklift operation preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory.
