Job Overview
The Warehouse Specialist plays a vital role in the European aftermarket supply chain by managing the complete physical movement of spare parts. This includes responsibilities such as receiving shipments, organizing storage, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. The role demands adherence to strict productivity targets while complying with European labor laws and maintaining 100% inventory accuracy, with special emphasis on urgent VIP requests.
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive inbound shipments from Changsha headquarters and local vendors; check quantities against packing lists, scan items into the warehouse system, and promptly store them in specified locations.
- Efficiently pick and pack outbound orders, consistently meeting productivity benchmarks of 60 lines per hour for small parts and 15 lines per hour for heavy or large items.
- Securely package parts, label accurately, and load outgoing vehicles or freight trucks safely to prevent transit damage.
- Give priority to emergency “Machine Down” orders for key customers, ensuring rapid processing and dispatch within critical service deadlines.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in annual inventory audits to sustain near-perfect stock accuracy.
- Promptly report any inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or storage location issues to management.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely when handling heavy machinery components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace in accordance with European environmental, health, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma, vocational certificate, or an equivalent qualification.
- Have 1 to 3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced warehousing environment, preferably in automotive, construction machinery parts, or third-party logistics sectors.
- Hold a valid forklift operator license for counterbalance or reach trucks, which is mandatory.
- Be acquainted with basic warehouse technologies such as handheld RF scanners, barcode systems, and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Physically capable of performing manual labor including lifting heavy parts within ergonomic limits and maintaining mobility for extended periods.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet numeric productivity goals.
- Fluent in the local language, German; basic English comprehension is advantageous but not required.
- Exhibit punctuality, reliability, strong safety consciousness, and a cooperative team spirit.
