Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse environment in alignment with company mission and values.
• Participate actively in food safety protocols including the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program.
• Perform regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, floor cleaning, trash collection and removal, dusting, and spill management.
• Remove products to clean floor slots and ensure areas are free of debris.
• Operate equipment like trash compactors, forklifts, scrubbers, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and reach trucks safely and effectively.
• Ensure cleaning materials are stored properly in ventilated and labeled areas following safety procedures.
• Keep the trash compactor area tidy and free from excess debris, and perform periodic dusting of warehouse structural beams.
• Assume additional responsibilities including order picking, packaging with appropriate labeling, pallet placement organized by route number, and reporting stock replenishment needs to supervisors.
• Adhere to PPE guidelines, including wearing cold-weather gear when required in refrigerated zones.
• Work demands may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, or overtime based on operational requirements.
• Maintain good attendance, safety practices, and confidentiality of company information.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse exposed to multiple temperature zones: ambient dry storage from 13°C to 24°C (55°F to 75°F) and refrigerated areas from 0°C to 7°C (32°F to 45°F). Frequent physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and potentially long periods in cold environments are expected.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma is mandatory.
• Prior experience with powered industrial equipment like pallet jacks or floor scrubbers is preferred.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Ability to perform tasks independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
• Capable of handling physical demands including lifting and mobility in varying temperature conditions and warehouse noise levels.

Compensation

This permanent full-time role offers a base salary range of $19.32 CAD to $26.49 CAD per hour, positioned based on individual capabilities, experience, and internal pay equity.
