Volunteer Breakfast Show Presenter

About the Role

Welwyn Hatfield Radio is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer to lead our new Breakfast Show, airing Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 9:00am and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 10:00am. This role offers a unique chance to work from home or in-studio, with potential to transition into a paid position as the station expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Host live radio programmes with engaging and lively presentation.
• Curate and present content relevant to the local community.
• Operate broadcast studio equipment, with comprehensive training provided.
• Promote local happenings, charities, and businesses to enhance community connectivity.
• Interact actively with listeners through social media platforms and station channels.
• Collaborate with the station team to ensure the programme remains professional and entertaining.

Candidate Profile

• Possess confident, personable, and effective communication abilities.
• Demonstrate reliability, commitment, and an independent work ethic.
• Have a strong interest in community radio broadcasting.
• Previous experience in broadcasting is an advantage but not mandatory.
