Role Purpose

The Visual Merchandising Specialist aims to captivate and impress store visitors by creatively showcasing IKEA's home furnishing collections. Delivering compelling visual presentations to enhance the brand experience and convert more guests into customers is the core objective.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise in visual merchandising to emphasize IKEA's distinctive brand identity through innovative range presentation and store layout improvements.
• Contribute proactively to departmental action plans by proposing initiatives that foster business expansion and sustainable profitability, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
• Apply understanding of local customer preferences and market demands to design inspiring, accessible, and commercially viable presentation solutions that cater to diverse tastes and price points.
• Maintain visitor-centric focus when executing tasks on the sales floor, ensuring minimal disturbance, strict adherence to safety standards, and maintaining impactful visual aesthetics.
• Comply with established procedures and coordinate effectively with communication and other teams to swiftly capitalize on commercial opportunities, appreciating business financial impacts.
• Guarantee high standards of quality, simplicity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in planning and executing range presentations by following national guidelines, utilizing global resources, and adopting best practices.
• Gather and analyze insights about store layout and product presentation to inform and tailor visually appealing store designs that enhance shopping convenience and address local lifestyle needs.
• Keep abreast of trends and innovations in home furnishing and retail sectors to continuously foster creative merchandising ideas that delight and inspire visitors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields.
• Proficiency in design software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Strong and clear communication skills in English.
• Solid understanding of design principles and current trends.
• Familiarity with the local market environment and customer expectations.
