Originating from a top-25 AngelList syndicate, DPC invests via dedicated series vehicles to provide founders and co-investors with a nimble and high conviction partnership rather than a traditional committee approach. The team is lean and empowered with significant ownership over their areas.
Role Summary
The Venture Partner position aims to extend DPC's influence by uncovering outstanding companies to support and fostering a strong network of relationships surrounding the firm. The role involves spending significant time engaging with founders and technologists in relevant communities and ensuring DPC's brand is well recognized and trusted. It primarily focuses on relationship management and deal origination, acting as the firm's presence and reputation throughout the ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Scout and refer exceptional companies within the Applied AI, Inference Infrastructure, and Frontier Tech domains.
- Leverage founder and operator networks to discover unique opportunities and facilitate warm introductions to DPC's investment team.
- Provide early insights and assessments on teams and technologies to aid prioritization.
- Represent DPC at industry events such as conferences, demo days, and within technical and founder communities.
- Enhance DPC's brand presence and reputation as a preferred partner within networks.
- Identify and nurture long-term relationships with individuals and organizations compatible with the DPC community and introduce them to principals.
- Deliver market intelligence back to the team focusing on founder, operator, and allocator priorities.
Scope and Compliance
This role is clearly oriented towards origination, relationship-building, and visibility. It does not include securities-related activities such as solicitation, negotiation, investment advice, or handling investor funds. All related compliance and closing activities are managed by DPC principals. Compensation is independent of capital invested or securities transactions. Activities are performed under DPC's direction in line with applicable securities regulations.

- Extensive network among founders, technologists, and the innovation ecosystem.
- Technical proficiency to identify promising teams and technologies early.

Engagement and Compensation
This opportunity is a fractional involvement suited for individuals continuing their own operating, founding, or investing careers while collaborating closely with DPC. Compensation is competitive and established per engagement reflecting the role's scope. While based in New York City or San Francisco is ideal, exceptional remote candidates will be considered.
