This position operates on a hybrid model, blending remote work with regular presence at the South Salt Lake City office.

Role Overview

Applicants must submit a portfolio demonstrating their UX/UI skills, including at least one detailed project case study. As a UX Designer on the Product Design team, you will work as an individual contributor, partnering with Product Managers and engineers to create seamless, refined experiences for PDQ's SaaS web products. The role covers the entire design lifecycle, from identifying user needs to delivering polished interfaces to empower global IT teams to work swiftly and confidently.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define and refine project specifications, ensuring alignment with user requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct user research and interviews to validate concepts, collect feedback, and inform design choices.
  • Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web features, iterating with input from users and team members.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering teams to clarify design implementations and ensure final products accurately reflect design goals.
  • Keep abreast of UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices, continuously integrating innovative approaches into your work.
  • Take part in agile routines including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to synchronize design activities with development progress.

Essential Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience designing customer-facing web SaaS products.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Product Managers and engineers throughout product development cycles.
  • Capability to produce wireframes, prototypes, and detailed designs that clearly portray user flows and design intents.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma for both design and prototyping purposes.
  • A portfolio featuring at least one case study showcasing design and UX competencies is mandatory.

Preferred Extras

  • Experience designing for IT, developer-centric, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
  • Knowledge of device management, endpoint security, or related IT sectors.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
  • Exposure to design systems or reusable component libraries.
