Role overview
This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and sequencing delivery routes efficiently and accurately with the help of computerized routing tools. The aim is to create practical, cost-effective routes while still meeting customer requirements.

Work schedule
- Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm
- Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 6:00 pm
Compensation
Pay is listed at $23 per hour. The expected base range for this role is $17 to $26 per hour, while the broader expected compensation range is $17.38 to $28.83 per hour, depending on relevant experience, education, skills, function, location, and other factors allowed by law.

Key responsibilities
The planner will use routing systems such as RoadNet and Mainframe to assign orders to trucks, balance trailer loads by product size and weight, and create delivery routes that align with customer needs.
They will also coordinate with Sales and Warehouse teams to confirm whether deliveries are workable, prepare daily reports such as route change requests and new customer requests, and maintain routing system settings.
Requirements
- High school diploma is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in a related environment is required.
- Training on US Foods systems will be provided.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in a way that supports the job and safety rules.
- Strong computer ability, including data entry, report generation, spreadsheet work, data handling, and mainframe downloads.
- Basic math skills covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Capacity to solve a range of fairly non-routine issues with some independence.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours and any required overtime.
