About the Project

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project focusing on communication outreach and engagement regarding European Union policies in North Africa, the Middle East, and the Gulf. As part of this initiative, NTU International is forming a pool of qualified Non-Key Experts, both Senior and Junior, who will be called upon for short-term assignments as needed over a 36-month project duration.

Assignment Objective

The core purpose of this role is to render strategic, technical, and logistical communication assistance to DG MENA by supporting the daily communication efforts aimed at enhancing the visibility and impact of the EU's policies, initiatives, and partnerships across the specified regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert communication materials, such as reports, publications, presentations, and other institutional documents, into the target language.
• Deliver interpretation services at various events including meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars, and consultations involving stakeholders.
• Ensure all translated texts are linguistically precise, consistent, and culturally sensitive.
• Assist in the crafting and proofreading of communication content in multiple languages.
• Work closely with communication teams to guarantee messages are clear and tailored to the intended audiences.
• Help manage terminology to maintain uniformity throughout project documents.
• Support multilingual communication efforts during outreach events related to the project.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in translation, interpretation, or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Proficient native or near-native skills in the target language and fluent command of English as the source language are required.
• At least two years of general experience in translation or interpretation roles.
• A minimum of one year’s experience specifically dealing with communication or institutional materials.
