Test Engineer - Product Integration

About the Role

We are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Test Engineer to join our Product Integration Test Team at Vista. This role focuses on expanding the scope and quality of testing for our innovative software across diverse technologies. You will gain comprehensive insight into Vista's extensive product suite, understanding their workings, interactions, and user behaviors, thus contributing to how we effectively bring them to production.

Role Overview

The Product Integration Test Engineer serves a unique function bridging Quality Assurance and DevOps disciplines. Responsibilities include coordinating system test efforts, designing cross-team test solutions, crafting and executing integration test plans, and contributing to automation frameworks. You will handle cloud-based multi-server deployments with tools like Octopus and monitor product observability using platforms such as DataDog. Additionally, conducting static code analysis to identify risks and contributing to ongoing implementation improvements are key aspects.

Candidate Profile

• Dedicated quality advocate with strong ownership mindset
• Proficient in both manual and automation testing across various technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative attitude with ability to foster positive relationships across teams
• Hands-on experience with automation tools including C#/.NET and Selenium
• Foundational understanding of SQL
• Familiar with defect tracking and test management systems
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and DataDog
• Basic project management capabilities
• Exposure to DevOps practices in cloud environments is a plus
• Curious, passionate, and energetic approach to work

Work Environment

This role is hybrid, requiring attendance in the Auckland office 1-2 days per week. Applicants must have existing New Zealand work rights without need for sponsorship.
