Telecommunications Engineer

Role Overview

DARA PEOPLE LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technical Lead based in Singapore to provide expert ICT and telecoms design support for complex infrastructure programmes. The position centers on technical coordination and resolving issues that arise during the design and implementation of multidisciplinary projects involving telecoms, security, architecture, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve requests for information (RFIs) related to ICT and telecoms within programme assemblies and design packages.
• Conduct thorough reviews of telecoms alongside security, controls, architectural, MEP, structural, and civil designs, ensuring seamless interfacing.
• Prepare detailed written evaluations, technical review comments, and reports.
• Facilitate coordination across various disciplines and resolve clashes affecting project timelines.
• Escalate any telecoms scope-related challenges that could delay schedules.
• Apply industry best practices to converged network allocations and update specifications accordingly.
• Support issue tracking, technical documentation, and contribute to telecom-related quantity take-off standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant degree in Telecommunications, ICT, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive background in ICT and telecoms engineering within large and complex programmes or project environments.
• Proficiency in analyzing RFIs, design documents, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple technical disciplines including telecoms, security, controls, architecture, MEP, structural, and civil teams.
• Strong technical writing skills to produce clear and comprehensive documentation.
• Experience using design tracking tools, document control workflows, and issue management platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification such as Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or experience working with RCDD-certified professionals.
• Familiarity with ACC, BIM360, AODocs, Google Docs, Revit workflows, or proprietary issue tracking systems.
• Experience in sectors such as data centres, mission-critical infrastructure, major campuses, airports, smart buildings, industrial facilities, or large telecoms programmes.
• Strong knowledge of converged networks, structured cabling, telecom pathways, ICT infrastructure, and network integration best practices.

Additional Information

• Permanent full-time position located on-site in Singapore.
• Salary range: SGD 9350 to 11150 per month.
