Technology Analyst

About the Role

This position serves as a Level 2 Support Engineer for ACEREZ, a renewable energy business, located in Parramatta with hybrid work options across Parramatta and Sydney CBD. You will collaborate with the Managed Service Provider (MSP) to validate technical outcomes and resolve intricate issues. This role emphasizes broad expertise in Microsoft 365, endpoint technologies, identity services, and workplace platforms.

You will be tackling technical problems that require deep analytical thinking rather than routine tasks like password resets or laptop rebuilds. Understanding how workplace platforms integrate is key. You will be an internal technical advisor ensuring that services meet ACEREZ’s standards as the company expands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and reliability of workplace technology platforms
• Manage and support Microsoft 365, SharePoint, endpoint management, and identity services
• Review and validate configuration changes, device builds, and platform updates performed by the MSP
• Investigate complex or recurring technical issues, diagnosing root causes
• Challenge or escalate technical results that fall short of expected standards
• Provide hands-on assistance during technology rollouts, office transitions, and service disruption periods
• Identify and propose improvements to platform performance and user technology experience
• Assist in platform administration, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts
• Develop strong working relationships with internal teams and external technology partners

Requirements

• Prior experience in a Level 2 workplace technology, endpoint support, or Microsoft-focused technical role
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, endpoint devices, and identity services
• Exposure to SharePoint, endpoint management, or workspace platform administration
• Advanced troubleshooting and systematic issue investigation skills
• Experience collaborating with managed service providers or outsourced technology partners
• Confidence to question and escalate when technical outputs don’t meet standards
• Excellent communication abilities and a cooperative problem-solving mindset
• A proactive approach, solid technical judgement, and genuine curiosity about technology environments

About ACEREZ and the Project

ACEREZ Partnership, including ACCIONA, COBRA, and Endeavour Energy, is responsible for designing, delivering, operating, and maintaining the transmission network for the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone. This major infrastructure project enables large-scale renewable energy generation to support NSW’s energy reliability and Net Zero goals.

Additional Information

This role reports to the Technology Operations Manager and works across Technology Operations and Service Delivery. The MSP handles day-to-day operational support, while you provide technical oversight, escalation support, and continuous improvement. The position is based in Parramatta and supports multiple locations.
