About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join on a contract basis, working remotely across Canada. This role involves providing development and operational support for platform integrations hosted within a private cloud infrastructure. The technical stack includes Microsoft Bot Framework, Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, Google Dialogflow, Node.js, and LLM-based autonomous agents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve production incidents utilizing documented procedures and automated diagnostic tools.
  • Analyze application, API, and infrastructure logs to diagnose issues and suggest remedies.
  • Maintain and support custom adapter applications and related messaging workflows.
  • Develop scripts and code for data ingestion, translation, and data masking services.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network components like virtual machines, IP configurations, DNS, and connectivity.
  • Manage certificate lifecycles including renewal and validation tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, DevOps, and Microsoft support teams during incident resolution processes.
  • Validate API integrations and verify responses including status code inspections.
  • Participate actively in knowledge transfer sessions, code reviews, and preparations for operational deployment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in virtual machine management, IP networking, DNS, and overall network architecture.
  • Proficiency in scripting and development using Python (including Pandas) and Node.js.
  • Experience in production support environments and incident troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with certificate management technologies such as SSL/TLS, SSH, and tools like Vim for configuration management.
  • Strong skills in native HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Comprehensive understanding of REST APIs and experience in API troubleshooting.
  • Excellent log analysis capabilities with an aim to perform root cause analysis.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience with AI platforms like Microsoft Bot Framework, Salesforce Einstein, and Google Dialogflow.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams integrations and messaging platforms.
  • Understanding of event-driven application architecture and Azure repositories.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Amazon S3 and DynamoDB.
  • Experience working in enterprise contexts subject to regulatory requirements.
  • Exposure to cloud services and support from Microsoft, AWS, or Google platforms.

Contract Details and Compensation

This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity, with high possibility of extension to one year or longer. The position is fully remote for candidates located within Canada. The hourly compensation rate ranges from CAD 75 to CAD 110, negotiable based on relevant experience. Applicants are encouraged to propose their expected rate along with their application.
