Role Overview

We are expanding our team and looking for a seasoned Technical Manager to provide technical leadership across multiple projects. This role involves overseeing design compliance, coordination, and ensuring top quality standards. The role requires collaboration with Design, Pre-Construction, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle from tender to completion while maintaining strong relations with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery for roofing, cladding, and façade projects.
• Review and ensure technical compliance of drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Coordinate design activities between architects, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Identify technical risks and devise effective engineering solutions.
• Support pre-construction teams during tendering and value engineering phases.
• Ensure adherence to building regulations, industry standards, and client needs.
• Manage technical queries, requests for information, and design revisions during project progression.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical challenges during construction.
• Promote continuous enhancement of technical procedures, systems, and standards.
• Provide mentorship and assistance to technical and design team members.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in a Technical Manager, Design Manager, or senior technical role within construction.
• In-depth knowledge of roofing, cladding, façades, or broader building envelope sector.
• Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, or data center projects.
• Strong grasp of construction detailing, specification, and design coordination.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercially astute with outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM and common design software is beneficial.

Additional Information

• Location: Roundwood and Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland (Hybrid work arrangement).
• Occasional travel required within Ireland and Europe to project sites.
