About This Role
Join as a Team Leader managing a group responsible for ensuring smooth daily prison operations by creating efficient staff rosters and resolving staffing challenges. You will lead improvements in rostering systems while contributing to safer communities across Victoria. This is a permanent, full-time position offering an annual salary ranging from $81,496 to $98,955 plus superannuation.
What You Will Do
In this leadership role, you will oversee a small team that produces accurate staff schedules and maintains workforce records. Responsibilities include forecasting and planning staff rosters up to six weeks in advance, adjusting plans to meet operational demands, managing complex rostering and attendance issues, providing expert guidance on workforce systems and employment agreements, and supporting HR reporting and process improvements.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring experience using workforce management platforms such as TimeTarget, Humanforce, or Kronos and have a background in rostering, payroll, human resources, and team leadership. Proficiency in advanced Excel skills and workforce data reporting is essential, alongside a firm understanding of rostering concepts, enterprise agreements, and workforce planning. Strong problem-solving capabilities, team support, and effective communication with a flexible, inclusive mindset are crucial.
