Role Objective
The Team Lead will provide practical, physical, and emotional care to individuals with Intellectual Disability, ABI, or Autism using a person-centred methodology. They assist in residential, training, and day service activities to help clients attain their maximum functional level and increase independence. This role requires coordination and supervision during shifts, including oversight of staff under their guidance. The Team Lead works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and reports to the Person In-Charge. They may also deputise in the Person In-Charge's absence, taking on relevant management duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents through a person-centred approach addressing practical and emotional needs.
- Coordinate daily activities and maintain smooth shift operations.
- Supervise and lead staff during shifts under their purview.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective service delivery.
- Assume management responsibilities when deputising for the Person In-Charge.
Essential Requirements
- Possession of QQI Level 5 healthcare qualification.
- A minimum of three years’ experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential, respite, or day service contexts.
- Proven experience in team management.
