Position Overview
This permanent role is based at Talking Therapies South Liverpool, with additional opportunities for secondments or fixed-term Team Lead positions across Liverpool's Talking Therapies team. The Team Lead will deputise for the Clinical Team Manager and take on a leadership role within the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to staff in a demanding environment while holding a reduced caseload and delivering evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Understand and accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds and age groups, utilizing interpreters when necessary and championing equal opportunity principles.
- Develop and deliver innovative training programs for staff members.
- Promote awareness of the service among external statutory and non-statutory organizations.
- Lead in service development initiatives focusing on areas such as KPIs, Perinatal care, Long-Term Health Conditions, Older Adults, BAME/Diversity, LGBTQI+, aligned with organizational and national priorities.
- Strengthen partnerships with Primary and Secondary Care, General Practitioners, and organizations supporting minority populations.
- Manage staff through direct line management, conducting performance appraisals and reviews.
- Support the service in meeting key performance indicator goals and participate in leadership and team meetings.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts within the service and assist with complaint resolution.
- Make clinical decisions regarding referral suitability, ensuring compliance with service protocols and connecting clients to relevant internal or external services.
- Ensure the delivery of NICE-approved specialist psychological treatments and conduct psychological risk assessments with appropriate risk management.
- Manage human resources issues and maintain accurate records per administrative guidelines.
