Role Overview

As a Tableau Data Engineer focused on Pharma and Life Sciences, you will build and support BI and analytics solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. The role combines Tableau development, database analysis, reporting, and BI platform support.

What You Will Do

• Convert business requirements into technical designs and specifications.
• Design, develop, and deploy BI solutions with Tableau as the core visualization tool.
• Support and maintain data analytics platforms using Tableau.
• Perform unit testing and resolve issues through troubleshooting.
• Write and run database queries to analyze data.
• Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Improve existing BI systems and related processes.
• Keep technical documentation current and accurate.
• Understand BI-level SLAs and handle BI performance optimization.

Required Expertise

• 4 to 7 years of overall experience, including at least 2 years of relevant Tableau experience.
• Strong background in data warehouse design, including dimensional modeling and data mining.
• Good understanding of DBMS concepts and OLAP.
• Exposure to ETL frameworks; experience with any ETL tool will be an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau development.
• Experience in model creation, measures, RLS implementation, performance tuning, and security.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Ability to take initiative, think analytically, and solve problems effectively.
• Exposure to cloud services, preferably Azure.
