About the Role
A reputable company operating within the industrial services and construction sector, based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, is searching for an experienced Supply Chain Supervisor or Manager. This position involves managing comprehensive supply chain processes that support scaffolding, shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance, construction, and other industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all facets of supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and material planning.
- Guarantee the prompt availability of construction materials, scaffolding parts, industrial consumables, and necessary equipment for project execution.
- Align material planning with project timelines including mobilization and demobilization phases.
- Optimize inventory and asset usage to avoid shortages and excessive stock.
- Oversee the transportation of materials and equipment among warehouses, suppliers, and project locations.
- Build and nurture collaborative supplier and subcontractor relationships to secure quality, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery schedules.
- Lead procurement activities such as supplier negotiations and contract management to enhance cost efficiency.
- Monitor supply chain metrics including KPIs, supplier performance, inventory turnover, and procurement processes while promoting continuous improvements.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Operations, Finance, and Commercial departments to ensure supply chain functions meet project demands.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, contract requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and mentor the supply chain team, fostering responsibility and continuous enhancement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- At least 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, especially within construction, industrial services, scaffolding, oil & gas, shutdown/turnaround, or EPC sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement, contract administration, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and project-related material planning.
- Proven track record handling multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic operational setting.
- Familiarity with the Saudi supplier market for construction materials, consumables, and industrial machinery.
- Experience with ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent, alongside Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional qualifications like CSCP, CIPS, CPSM, or PMP are desirable.
