Supply Chain Specialist

Role Summary

This position sits within a globally recognized automotive manufacturing environment that has been producing specialized steel tubing solutions since 1972. The operation runs from a modern 30,000 m² facility that oversees the complete production flow, from incoming raw materials through finished goods. The business is known for high technical standards, disciplined processes, and quality-focused manufacturing, supported by certifications such as Ford Q1 and ISO/TS 16949, along with official government R&D Center recognition. It supplies major OEMs including Daimler (Mercedes), BMW, Renault, Ford, and Peugeot, and continues to expand across Germany, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will support day-to-day logistics and warehouse activity at the manufacturing site. The role is centered on keeping inventory movement smooth, tracking operational performance, coordinating across shifts, and helping maintain strong warehouse discipline in a fast-paced tier-1 setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead warehouse activity across first and second shifts, covering packing, labeling, and dispatch processes.
• Join daily morning meetings to review operational KPIs and help drive ongoing improvements.
• Handle customer logistics complaints and prepare resolution documentation, including 8D reports.
• Create and send accurate ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) records after every shipment.
• Enforce FIFO discipline and verify that physical container counts match system data, including backup packaging.
• Guide warehouse operators, organize team workstreams, and carry out layered audits on a regular basis.
• Support CMS tasks and manage returnable container processes through customer portals.
• Coordinate with headquarters on raw material arrivals, new parts, packaging revisions, and SAP-related updates.
• Step in for the Operations Manager when needed, including the authority to pause deliveries when quality must be protected.
• Take on other position-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in automotive supply chain functions.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP.
• Background in an international organization is considered an advantage.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in long-term growth and commitment to the company’s success.
• Highly organized, dependable, disciplined, and accountable for assigned work.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States.
