Sub-Contracting Assistant

Role Overview

This position entails the coordination and oversight of transportation logistics for product-related materials and parts. The candidate will be responsible for planning, communicating, and confirming arrangements with sub-contracting service providers to facilitate the receiving and returning of materials and parts, thereby supporting operational fulfillment processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of product components and parts internally following VDL's established operational procedures.
• Prepare transit documentation for administrative purposes prior to dispatching products to suppliers.
• Handle non-conforming parts by coordinating their return and receipt between internal teams and suppliers.
• Ensure safety and security within the subcontracting area to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with transport bookings for both internal and external requirements to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers to schedule collections for part rework.
• Create and apply labels containing project codes, production order numbers, and quantities on relevant components and parts per individual folder requirements.
• Contribute to and engage in the company’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Possession of Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
