Role Overview

The company is creating an agentic AI workforce designed to autonomously act on behalf of appointment-based business owners, transcending traditional assistant roles. Engineers joining now will play a pivotal role in architecting these systems. Openings exist for two engineering tracks: product engineers who develop AI-driven features addressing customer needs, and platform engineers who construct the scalable infrastructure essential for those products. Whichever path chosen, engineers are expected to integrate AI as a fundamental operational layer, not just an auxiliary tool.

Technology Stack

• Kotlin (Micronaut framework, jOOQ library), gRPC, protobuf
• TypeScript / JavaScript with React and Redux
• React Native
• AWS cloud services, Kubernetes orchestration, PostgreSQL databases, Terraform for infrastructure automation
• Linear for project tracking

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver innovative AI-powered features that transform service business operations by creating novel capabilities rather than wrapping existing tools
• Develop and sustain large-scale systems handling billions in payment transactions and serving over 120,000 businesses, emphasizing reliability and performance
• Leverage AI technologies throughout the software development cycle, including architecture, debugging, coding, and code reviews to enhance output quality
• Maintain end-to-end ownership of projects from initial design through deployment with accountability for operational success
• Build platform infrastructure to empower product teams by creating scalable, modular, and low-friction systems
• Advocate for architectural improvements and faster development approaches where appropriate

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrable ownership of live production systems
• Experience utilizing AI tools to architect, debug, write, and review code, as well as delivering AI-powered features or systems rather than mere usage of AI-assisted code editors
• Ability to move quickly and make autonomous decisions, prioritizing iterative, tangible output over prolonged planning
• Strong analytical skills focused on efficiency, scalability, and reliability with foresight into potential system failures under scale
• Entrepreneurial attitude toward ownership, treating assigned problems as personal challenges to solve
• Collaborative mindset motivated to uplift peers and increase overall team effectiveness
