Role Overview
The Social Media Assistant will collaborate closely with the Social Media Services Manager and Social Media Manager to support social media content development and implementation for both the Atmosphere brand and multiple authors, especially those in the Social Media Pro program. This role is part of an agency-style marketing team, requiring the ability to manage several client accounts simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation and execution of social media strategies for Atmosphere and its authors.
- Develop, schedule, and publish engaging posts across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
- Craft compelling captions that align with each author's unique style and audience.
- Source and edit visuals, graphics, and short videos using tools like Canva.
- Monitor audience engagement, respond professionally to comments and messages, and nurture a positive online community.
- Assist in tracking content effectiveness and contribute to monthly performance reports.
- Collaborate with team members on campaign ideas and promotions.
- Maintain organized workflows and adhere to deadlines within a dynamic, multi-client setting.
Qualifications
- Previous agency experience handling multiple client accounts concurrently is required.
- At least one year of experience in social media management or content creation.
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Proficient in Canva or similar graphic design and basic video editing tools.
- Exceptional written communication skills with attention to detail and consistent tone.
- Excellent organizational abilities and capability to independently manage competing tasks.
- Comfortable working remotely in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in publishing or book marketing is an advantage.
Position Details
- Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
- Workload: Approximately 15 hours per week.
- Reporting to Social Media Manager Karli Fitzgerald and Social Media Services Manager Maddy Manning.
- Immediate availability preferred.
- Fully remote position based in Austin, TX.
