Site Technical Manager – Architectural Background (High-Rise Construction)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Technical Manager with a strong architectural foundation to join a top-tier client focusing on high-rise construction projects in Dubai. This role demands comprehensive expertise in engineering coordination, shop drawings, technical leadership, and managing multifaceted project execution across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the preparation of shop drawings, detailing, and technical coordination processes.
• Facilitate coordination across Architecture, Structural, Civil, Interior Design, and MEP disciplines to ensure smooth workflow.
• Review and approve subcontractor submissions, materials, shop drawings, and technical calculations.
• Address and resolve on-site technical challenges, offering direction and support to construction teams.
• Conduct technical meetings, workshops, Requests for Information (RFIs), and manage material approvals.
• Ensure all activities comply fully with project specifications, Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, National Construction Code (NCC) standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with procurement, planning, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and commercial departments.
• Monitor and maintain technical status, approvals, and the as-built documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a robust architectural background.
• Demonstrate proven experience in high-rise construction within the UAE for a minimum of eight years.
• Strong knowledge and skills in technical coordination and management of shop drawings.
• Thorough understanding of IFC drawings, regulatory frameworks, and prevailing construction standards.
• Exemplary leadership abilities combined with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working for contractors is mandatory.

Additional Criteria

• Must be an Arabic national.
• At least eight years of experience as a Site Technical Manager in high-rise projects within the UAE.
