Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager

Role Overview

As a Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager at MST in Singapore, you will be accountable for managing the daily operations of the retail store, leading the team to ensure smooth, efficient functioning and achieving sales goals. Your duties involve supervising staff, maintaining operational standards, managing inventory, and reporting sales and staff performance to higher management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service; promptly address and resolve customer issues.
• Maintain a customer-centric store atmosphere, motivating staff to exceed customer expectations.
• Track and boost sales performance; motivate team members to reach both individual and store targets.
• Provide regular performance reports on sales and staff productivity to Area or Country Managers.
• Supervise, mentor, and motivate retail staff to uphold daily operations and staff morale.
• Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of new employees while embedding company culture and operational standards.
• Conduct timely staff performance reviews, offer coaching, identify areas for skill enhancement, and encourage continuous development.
• Manage inventory levels with regular checks, stock replenishment, coordination with headquarters and suppliers to ensure availability and accuracy.
• Oversee store operations including opening/closing routines, cash handling, and adherence to safety and security practices.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations; maintain visual merchandising and promotional displays according to brand guidelines.

Experience & Expertise

• Possess 3 to 5 years of retail management experience, with a proven history of team leadership, sales achievement, and store operations management.
• Strong leadership capabilities to motivate and develop a retail team.
• Excellent customer service skills, effective communication, interpersonal abilities, and sound decision-making aptitude.
• Solid organizational skills, proficient multitasking, and ability to thrive in fast-paced retail environments.
• Competence in inventory and financial transaction management.
• Self-driven, proactive attitude with attention to detail and teamwork orientation.
