Role Responsibilities

The Shipping Administrator will dedicate the majority of their time (90%) to supporting shipping and administrative tasks, including collecting cash-on-delivery payments, tracking shipment schedules, correlating shipments with purchase orders, managing shipping records, assisting with dispatch planning, and handling employee payroll related to driving hours and trip sheets. The role requires collaborating with the continuous improvement team to enhance procedures.

Health and safety responsibilities (10%) include adherence to warehouse and production safety policies, compliance with safety standards, use of protective equipment, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and reporting any unsafe conditions.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum two years of logistics experience, preferably in trucking
• Supervisory and dispatch experience beneficial
• Background in manufacturing or construction sectors an asset
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and database entry
• Experience working with diverse cultures and workforce

Working Conditions

• Lifting up to 20 lbs
• Work located in production facility and shipping office
• Repetitive tasks and extended standing periods
• Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, dirt, and noise
• Flexible scheduling with potential for short-notice overtime
