About the Role

Join Auckland Council as a ServiceNow Platform Specialist within the Platform Engineering Practice. This position involves administering, configuring, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform to improve service delivery and automate business processes. You'll work with various stakeholders, including service owners, architects, and delivery teams, to ensure the platform's security, performance, and availability while managing lifecycle management tasks such as upgrades and patches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and enhance the ServiceNow platform's functionality.
  • Develop workflows, business rules, integrations, and automation solutions.
  • Lead activities related to platform upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management.
  • Support modules including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and others.
  • Collaborate closely with service owners, architects, and delivery teams.
  • Ensure platform security, optimize performance, and maintain availability.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and simplify business processes.
  • Manage integrations with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Platform Engineering, preferably within large and complex organizations. Essential qualifications include:

  • More than 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow administration and platform development.
  • Proficiency with ITSM, CMDB, Discovery, Service Catalogue, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
  • Experience with API integration and understanding of ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.

Highly desirable skills include:

  • ServiceNow CSA or CAD certification.
  • Expertise in automation, scripting, and JavaScript development.
  • Integration experience with platforms such as Azure, SAP, or MuleSoft.
