Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the creation of intuitive, accessible digital customer experiences across Mercury's platforms. This role involves managing complex products and end-to-end user journeys, collaborating with product, technology, content, and analytics teams to facilitate self-service and improve customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design of user-friendly, accessible digital experiences for Mercury's online channels.
- Convert customer requirements, business goals, data, and technical constraints into clear and strategic UX/UI design directives.
- Conduct and guide cross-team research, usability studies, and insight-driven design to identify customer challenges and opportunities.
- Produce journey maps, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed user interface designs.
- Maintain and develop Mercury's design systems, UX/UI frameworks, and reusable interface patterns.
- Facilitate workshops, design critiques, and stakeholder meetings across various teams including product, tech, and content.
- Utilize analytics, testing, and feedback post-launch to continuously enhance digital user experiences.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in UX/UI design supported by a strong portfolio showing comprehensive ownership of design projects within complex digital environments.
- Proficient with journey mapping, flowcharts, wireframing, prototyping, and crafting reusable design patterns.
- Applied experience using research data, usability testing, analytics, and behavioral feedback to inform design choices.
- Exceptional skills influencing stakeholders and effectively leading workshops and design discussions.
- Familiarity with design and project management tools such as Figma, Lucid, Miro, Jira, or Confluence.
- Understanding of agile workflows, content design, brand consistency, and design system methodologies.
- A tertiary qualification in related fields like UX, interaction, product, or service design is advantageous.
